Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)
The Alberta PNP Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is an economic immigration program. Particularly, ANIP operated by the Government of Alberta with the Government of Canada’s department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In short, it supports Alberta’s economic growth by attracting and enjoying work-ready people to the province.
Individuals nominated by the Government of Alberta, together with their spouse/common-law partner and dependent children, finally apply for permanent residence through IRCC as a provincial nominee. But IRCC makes final decisions on all permanent resident applications. In other words, AINP offers options for both skilled and semi-skilled workers. Hence, you may apply on your own or through the best immigration consultant.

What are the streams to apply for Alberta PNP?
The AINP is a partnership between Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Government of Alberta. In fact, it seeks skilled and semi-skilled foreign nationals who can immediately enter in Alberta Province. The major immigration programs under the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) are:
- Alberta Express Entry stream

1. Alberta Express Entry stream: Under this way the province selects a number of eligible applicants for nomination from the Federal Express Entry pool. AINP directly selects the eligible candidates from the pool in Express Entry. Candidates are required to obtain the Notification of Interest first and only then they can apply for Canada permanent resident program. This option is for people who are interested to immigrate to Alberta. They first have to create a new Express Entry profile. Once this is done, the individual can then show an interest in the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program directly through the system. If an Alberta nomination is then received, the prospective immigrant will consequently gain 600 points on his or her Express Entry score, significantly increasing their chances of being given an Invitation to Apply during the next Express Entry draw.
