Saskatchewan invited 534 Candidates
Saskatchewan held a new round of invitations on 3 November.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited candidates for the International Skilled Worker category through two subcategories: Express Entry, and Occupation In-Demand. He sent a total of 534 invitations to immigration candidates.
To be invited to this draw, candidates from both sub-categories must submit Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles with SINP. Both candidates should have a minimum cut-off score of 68, but the requirements differed from there.
272 invited Express Entry candidates with only 68 points could qualify for an invite if they had 10 years of work experience and a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 8 or more. Otherwise they will require an EOI score of 69 or higher. The draw included 47 possession under the Express Entry subcategory.
262 candidates invited under the Occupations In-Demand subcategory, all required an academic credential evaluation. A total of 55 occupations were included in this draw.
SINP uses the EOI system to select candidates who have the most potential to succeed in the regional labor market. Candidates are required to demonstrate their commitment to building life in Saskatchewan by demonstrating their work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province.
SINP uses these five factors to assess candidates and assigns them a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. The highest scoring candidates are then issued an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.

Express entry sub-category
In the latest invitation round, Saskatchewan issued 272 invitations to candidates holding profiles in the Federal Express Entry pool.
The Federal Express Entry System manages Canada’s pool of candidates for three main economic-class immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.
If candidates in the Federal Express Entry pool had also filled an EOI for Saskatchewan and had scored 68 on the SINP’s points assessment grid, they could have been invited to the latest draw.
Express Entry candidates who receive provincial nominations from the Saskatchewan province and receive 600 additional points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The award effectively guarantees that they will be invited to apply for permanent residency at the subsequent Federal Express entry draw, as most invite rounds invite candidates with a score of 400.
The same goes for any of Canada’s provincial nominee programs aligned with Express Entry.
In-demand sub-category
The Occupation in-demand sub-category is open to immigration candidates who do not have a federal express entry profile.
Demand candidates were invited from 262 Saskatchewan invites 534 businesses to apply for a provincial nomination, and like the Express Entry sub-category, candidates were required to have a provincial score of 68 to be elected.
