Ontario invited Express Entry candidates under two PNP streams
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations on November 4. These invitations are issued to Express Entry Candidates who may qualify for two provincial immigration streams targeting French speakers and skilled trades workers.
These two enhanced Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) align with the express entry system. Those who were invited to today’s drawing will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points for their overall score, upon receiving the provincial nomination.
The award would effectively guarantee that they would be invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent Federal Express Entry draw.

Candidates are ranked in the pool based on the CRS that considers 4 main factors: –
- Age
- Education
- Skilled work experience
- Proficiency in English or French
The invited candidates will be contacted by OINP. They will have 45 days to apply online for their provincial nomination. Applications can be made online, and it can be done by the applicant or by a representative. It takes about three hours to fill the application form but it is not required to complete in one session. The cost to apply is $ 1,500 CAD payable by credit card. OINP accepts Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard and MasterCard debit.
About the French-speaking skilled worker stream
This PNP is tailored for English and French speaking express entry candidates. They are required to meet the eligibility requirements of the Canadian Experience Class, or the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Each of these federal programs has its own requirements for work experience and education.
Candidates with other eligibility requirements require a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) at least seven in French and at least six in English.
About the Skilled Trades stream
Skilled trade employees in Ontario require at least one year of paid full-time work experience or equivalent part-time experience. Qualified skilled trades must be listed in Minor Group 633, or Major Groups 72, 73, or 82 of the National Occupation Classification.
Work experience must have been in Ontario within the last two years from the date of application submission. At least one of the businesses identified in the express entry profile must also have work experience.
These candidates must have a valid certificate or license if they are claiming work experience in a trade that requires certification. Candidates require a CLB of at least five in English or French, among other eligibility requirements.
