Express Entry Draw #153 : 392 PNP candidates receive ITAs
392 invitations to apply are issued in the new Express Entry draw on June 24, 2020, and the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round was 696.
All these candidates had previously received provincial nominations and were awarded an additional 600 points toward their overall score. This means without the provincial nomination the candidate would have had a CRS of 96.
Today’s draw was the fourth consecutive program-specific Express Entry draw and the second one in less than a month to specifically target candidates in the Canadian Experience Class, which is open to foreign nationals with at least one year of work experience in Canada, among other criteria.
Candidates are ranked in the pool based on the CRS that considers 4 main factors: –
- Age
- Education
- Skilled work experience
- Proficiency in English or French
Canada’s main three categories are managed under the Express Entry System are: –
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in today’s draw; candidates had to have submitted their profiles before April 23, 2020, at 10:39:30 UTC. This means that all candidates with CRS scores above 696, as well as those with scores of 696 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.
Despite the fact that Canada’s immigration policies and procedures have undergone major changes since March 18 due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Express Entry system has remained operational and candidates can still submit a profile.
IRCC has held a total of fifteen Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program draws over the past two months.
