Express Entry #162: Canada invites 4,200 immigration candidates
4,200 invitations to apply are issued in the new Express Entry draw on September 2, 2020, and the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round was 475.
Candidates for the federal skilled worker program were among today’s successful candidates. The latest Express entry draw was the third all-program draw after March 18 and was organized by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) overall.
Today’s CRS cutoff score was 1 points lower than previous all-program draw held on August 5.
Canada’s main three categories are managed under the Express Entry System are: –
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in today’s draw; candidates had to have submitted their profiles before September 2, 2020, at 14:17:32 UTC. This means that all candidates with CRS scores above 475, as well as those with scores of 475 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.
Candidates are ranked in the pool based on the CRS that considers 4 main factors: –
- Age
- Education
- Skilled work experience
- Proficiency in English or French
While a job offer is not required in order to be eligible under the Express Entry system, the CRS does award additional points to candidates who have one.
