Express Entry #161 : Canada invites 3,300 CEC candidates
Canada held second invitation round in two days the last draw was held on August 19, 2020.
3,300 invitations to apply are issued in the new Express Entry draw on July 23, 2020, and the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round was 454 .
Today’s CRS cutoff score was 9 points higher than the previous CEC specific draw on June 25, with a CRS cutoff of 445. The increase in grade is more candidates being entered into the pool last month.Yesterday, IRCC held a program-specific draw with 600 PNP candidates receiving ITAs.

Candidates are ranked in the pool based on the CRS that considers 4 main factors: –
- Age
- Education
- Skilled work experience
- Proficiency in English or French
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in today’s draw; candidates had to have submitted their profiles before July 27, 2020 at 11:10:05 UTC. This means that all candidates with CRS scores above 445, as well as those with scores of 454 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.This draw brings the total number of invitations issued in 2020 to 65,750.
