The Combined list of Eligible Skilled Occupations is a list of high demand occupations in Australia. This list invites Expression of Interests (EOIs) from the foreign skilled workers seeking short term & long term skilled jobs in Australia.The visa programs that uses the list also have access to some occupations in the Medium and Long-term strategic skills list (MLTSS). Hence, no separate Short-term Skilled Occupation List STSOL has been designed by DIBP; rather a combined list has been made including the eligible occupations in both STSOL and MLTSS lists, i.e. combined lists of eligible skilled occupations. Skilled occupation list Australia is divided into 3 separate parts which is as below

• SOL =Short-term Skilled Occupation List)
• MLTSSL = Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List)
• ROL = Regional Occupation List

Which occupation list I should use for Australia immigration.

• If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa and you are NOT nominated by a State or Territory Government, you must nominate an occupation from the Skilled Occupation List (SOL).
• If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa and you ARE nominated by a State or Territory Government, you must nominate On Combined list of Eligible Skilled Occupations Australia  from either the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) OR the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL).
