Business Innovation and Investment Visa – Provisional (188): this sub class is for people who want to establish a new business in Australia, or manage an existing business or invest in Australia.

Business Innovation and Investment Visas – Permanent (888): This sub class is for those who hold subclass 188, can apply for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (subclass 888) in order to get Australia permanent resident visa.

The Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (subclass 888) visa has three streams:

  • 888 Business innovation stream (Permanent): this is the pathway to permanent residency for holders of the 188-visa subclass
  • 888 Business investor stream (Permanent): this is the pathway to permanent residency for holders of the 188-visa subclass
  • 888 Significant investor streams (Permanent): this is the pathway to permanent residency for holders of the 188-visa subclass.

Business Talent Subclass (132) Visa: This Business visa (subclass 132) is a permanent residence visa for business people who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency. To be able to get this visa you need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect and then be invited to apply. You can also be in or outside Australia when you apply and when the visa is decided.

State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner visa (subclass 892): A permanent visa for those who have owned and operated a business in Australia for at least two years. You must be sponsored by a state or territory government.

Investor (Residence) (Subclass 893) Visa: The State/Territory Sponsored Investor visa (subclass 893) is for people who are sponsored by a state or territory authority and have held a designated investment in Australia for four years. You can apply for this visa if you already hold a State/Territory Sponsored Investor (provisional) visa (subclass 165).

Investor Retirement visa (subclass 405): this visa is for self-funded retirees who have no dependants and want to live in Australia during their retirement years. Once you are the holder of an Investor Retirement visa (subclass 405), you can apply for it to be renewed after four years.

Business Visitor stream (600): this visa is for Business visitors who wants to make general business or employment enquiries, conduct activities as part of an official government visit, take part in a conference, trade fair or seminar. You can’t be paid by the organisers to take part or investigate, negotiate, enter into or review a business contract. Under this visa candidate can stay in Australia from 3 months to 12 months as per the circumstances with multiple entry exit. The visa costs are AUD145 for each applicant.
